Beams and Load-Bearing Wall Removal
Opening up a kitchen or removing a wall between rooms? Rise Structural Group sizes the beam, posts and footings and provides the sealed calculations or letter your permit reviewer will ask for.
What we do
- Load-bearing wall removal for open floor plans
- Beam, header and lintel sizing in wood, LVL and steel
- Removing or relocating posts and columns
- New posts, point loads and footings below them
- Sealed calculations, drawings and letters for permit
- Coordination with your contractor on temporary shoring and installation
How it works
Send us what you have. Photos, a sketch or your builder’s or designer’s drawings are enough to get started.
We confirm the load path. For most wall removals we visit the house, look at the framing above and below the wall, and confirm what the new beam has to carry.
You get a sealed design. We issue sealed calculations or a short sealed drawing showing the beam, posts, connections and footings, ready for the permit and your contractor.
